If your workstation cannot detect a locally attached license, follow these procedures.
Locate the file in your Mastercam installation directory (typically C:\Program Files\Mastercam 2021\Mastercam\ ). Open it using Notepad. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box
Open the utility (found in C:\Program Files\Mastercam 2021\Mastercam\nhasp8.exe or via the Start Menu). Select your SIM Type (HASP, NetHASP, or Software). Click Read .

If you’re using a Software license, the CodeMeter service is the backbone of your license management. To restart it, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open the . In the Task Manager, navigate to the Services tab, locate CodeMeter Runtime Server , right-click it, and select Restart . Once restarted, try launching Mastercam again. This simple restart often resolves transient glitches. You can also check the health of your license in the CodeMeter Control Center; if you see a red container for your license, it may be "broken" and require a restart or reinstallation.
