Imager 2 — Ozone
This mode uses a classic, pseudo-stereo delay technique to artificially spread a mono signal into a stereo field. It is incredibly effective at adding thickness and movement to single instruments, vocals, or synth leads.
It is helpful to see how Ozone Imager 2 measures up against other free and paid stereo imaging plugins. Unlike many budget tools that offer simple, low-quality M/S (mid/side) widening that can ruin a mix, Ozone Imager 2 provides algorithms that maintain mono compatibility—meaning the stereo effect you create will not completely disappear or cause phasing issues when the track is played on a mono device like a smartphone. This level of engineering is what makes it stand out.
The Ozone Imager 2 operates on the principle of .
: It includes three different vectorscope meters (Polar Sample, Polar Level, and Lissajous) to help you visualize the stereo field and check for phase alignment. ozone imager 2
Distinguishing between beneficial stratospheric ozone and harmful ground-level tropospheric ozone.
The Ozone Imager 2 represents a significant step forward in atmospheric monitoring and research. Future developments and advancements in technology will likely enhance the device's capabilities, enabling even more precise and comprehensive monitoring of the ozone layer. Potential areas of research include integrating the Ozone Imager 2 with other Earth-observing instruments to gain a more holistic understanding of the Earth's atmosphere and climate system.
Its primary functions are:
: Features integrated meters to help ensure that a wide stereo track will still sound good when played back in mono, preventing phase cancellation. Practical Use Cases Widening Synths & Vocals
A more modern, transparent algorithm designed for "surgical" widening. It is specifically optimized to avoid phase issues, making it ideal for percussive sounds like drums. Width Control: A simple slider that ranges from -100 (narrow/mono) 100 (wide)
By expanding its detector range, the instrument simultaneously tracks ozone alongside nitrogen dioxide ( NO2cap N cap O sub 2 ), sulfur dioxide ( SO2cap S cap O sub 2 ), formaldehyde ( HCHOcap H cap C cap H cap O ), and volcanic aerosols. This mode uses a classic, pseudo-stereo delay technique
You can toggle between processing the whole stereo field or just specific frequency ranges, though the controls are streamlined for simplicity compared to the full Ozone suite.
Ozone Imager 2 is a free audio plugin (VST, VST3, AU, AAX) designed to control and manipulate the stereo field of a sound. It is not a "trial" or "lite" version of a paid product; it is a fully functional, standalone tool that iZotope offers for free.

Artist Bio
Outrageously raunchy Miami-based quartet Pretty Ricky — Spectacular Smith, Diamond Blue Smith, Corey Blue “Slick ‘Em” Smith, and Pleasure P — made a bouncing hybrid of rap and R&B coated in at least 30 layers of sleaze. They debuted in 2005 with Bluestars, released by Atlantic.
Lead single “Grind with Me” was a significant hit with urban radio stations; the album went on to sell over 800,000 copies. Late Night Special, an all-around improved set produced by Jim Jonsin, followed in early 2007 and reached the top of the Billboard 200 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts. The following year, Pleasure P departed for a solo career and was replaced by Christopher “Ambition/4play” Myers, who did not last long. Manny Ramon “Lingerie” Deanda eventually solidified the group’s lineup. Pretty Ricky, recorded after the album Eighties Babies was leaked and subsequently shelved, was produced entirely by Diamond and released in 2009. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
